St. Francis Yacht Club, San Francisco, CA
Steve Tsuchiya will speak at the St. Francis Yacht Club’s Wednesday lecture series, telling the fascinating origin-story of the America’s Cup. His three-part presentation will show first, how the revolutionary yacht America entered and won that historic regatta around the Isle of Wight; second, how America‘s owners transformed the souvenir they won into perpetual challenge trophy; and, third, how that original race continues to influence the technology and culture of the America’s Cup, the oldest international sporting competition.

Steve Tsuchiya will present a review of the 2013 America’s Cup Match (Friday, 4:45 pm) and provide a lively examination of the History of the America’s Cup in the era of the New York Yacht Club (Sunday, 2:15 pm). Steve and Robert will also be available for book signing in the Authors’ Corner all three days.
